Alfa Romeo 2600MM

The Alfa Romeo 2900mm remains the most iconic car of the pre war years. Only 3 of these cars were ever built with two cars surviving today, the most well know is the example owned by Ralph Lauren, which retains all its original components including the original coachwork of Carrozzeria Touring.

Our rendition of this masterpiece of design is the 2600mm. Our recreation is based on a tubular chassis, with the twin cam engine and drive train from the early post war Alfa Romeo 2600. The all aluminium bodywork is built on a light tubular framework following the original concept of Touring.

Chassis: Tubular steel chassis

Engine: Alfa Romeo 2584cc, six-cylinder in-line. Wet sump lubrication, double overhead camshaft. Three Solex twin choke carburettors. Twin electric fuel pumps.

Exhaust System: Large-bore straight through stainless steel exhaust system.

Clutch: Single dry plate, heavy duty.

Transmission: Alfa Romeo five speed manual. Limited slip differential.

Suspension: Upgraded front and rear road springs.

Braking System: Twin circuit servo assisted disc brakes all round.

Wheels & Tyres: 18” wire wheels with 19 x 6.500 tyres. Knock on steel spinners.

Bodywork: Tubular steel framework. Aluminium panelled. Double duck full tonneau cover. Aeroscreens with laminated safety glass. All bright work chrome-plated. Interior leather upholstered, with driver and passenger bucket seats.
